Nick’s goal is to provide strategies and coaching that lead people to far better outcomes than they’d obtain on their own. In addition, he aims to help clients experience less financial stress and have more confidence about their financial future.
Nick enjoys taking the time to teach clients (in easy-to-understand ways) about various financial concepts and strategies, so they understand exactly what’s happening with their money. He regularly encourages clients to have faith in the future, be patient and maintain discipline when it comes to their investing strategies.
Education & Experience
Nick grew up in the Grand Rapids, Michigan, area and graduated from Calvin University with a major in business and a minor in economics. After graduating, Nick worked in banking at J.P. Morgan Chase for a few years before beginning his career as a financial advisor in 2013. Nick has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional since 2016, which provides him with the expertise and experience to handle many different client situations.
Family & Fun
Nick describes himself as a Christian, husband, father and financial planner in that order. He supports his church by teaching financial stewardship classes and has served various non-profits as a board member and volunteer.
He and his wife live in Grandville and like traveling to new places and keeping weekly date nights – which can be tricky with four young kids! Nick’s evenings and weekends are usually filled with small home improvement projects, playing outside in the yard with his kids or taking them to the neighborhood park. When he finds time to relax by himself, Nick likes to play golf or find a good book to read.
